“When traveling, one’s eyes are filled with images, reflections of places and people. I try to build on these visual memories combining pictures with extensive diaries and field-notes I compile at the end of each work day. Studying Visual Anthropology provided me with the tools to analyze these data in a critical way and to deeply explore and understand my ethnographic encounters. I attempt to capture these images, memories and moments to the best of my capacities”.
Francesco has always been influenced by the places he visited and the cities he lived in.
Pictures are for him like words for a writer, or colors on a palette for a painter. Each photo is a step further on his research. Each gallery ‘happened’ in a specific place. Every album contributes to composing a new story.
